"I think we were all hoping for that to be the case (that Slipofthepen would run in the 2000 Guineas), especially because it would have been both the King and the Queen Consort's first Classic runner,'' Warren told English media.

The English 2000 Guineas is due to be run about six hours after Saturday's coronation but the King's racing manager John Warren confirmed Slipofthepen won't be in the field. Trainers John and Thady Gosden have decided against starting unbeaten Slipofthepen in the first British classic of the year on Saturday and will instead set the colt for Royal Ascot in June. Slipfothepen has been ruled out of the English 2000 Guineas on Saturday avoiding a clash with owner King Charles III's coronation.
